Use multigrain Rotini Pasta with omega 3. This is a great make ahead meal and great left over.

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Rotini

6 ounces Whole Wheat Pasta
1 lb ground venison
1 c Onions, chopped
1 Green Pepper, chopped
28 ounce can Tomatoes, cut up
6 ounces Tomato Paste
4 ounces Mushrooms, drained
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Basil
1/2 tsp Oregano
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Red Pepper
3 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded

Recipe Directions for Baked Rotini

  1. In microwave cook meat in colander and then add the veggies.

  2. Spray a rectangle baking dish with cooking spray. Preheat oven to 350.

  3. In Dutch Oven, combine meat and all ingredients except the cheese. Simmer for 20 minutes on low.

  4. Layer in dish with meat sauce, pasta, and then cheese. Repeat until all in and top with cheese.

  5. Bake 35 minutes.
