Recipe Ingredients for Baked Rigatoni

16 oz Rigatoni
2 lbs. ground beef, lean
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove,minced
28 oz can tomatoes, crushed
8 oz tomato sauce
6 oz tomato paste
1/2 cup water
1 1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp pepper
2 cups (8 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Baked Rigatoni

Cook rigatoni according to package directions, drain and set aside. In a large saucepan brown the ground chuck, onion and garlic, drain. Stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce and paste, water, salt, sugar, basil, pepper and bay leaf. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Stir in rigatoni. Spoon half into a 13x9x2" baking dish. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese; layer with remaining meat mixture. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Cover with foil. Bake at 350* for 30-35 minutes or until heated through. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
