Baked potato, as described on Good Eats

Recipe Ingredients for Baked potato

1 large potato
2 tsp canola oil
1 tbsp sour cream
1 Salt to taste

Recipe Directions for Baked potato

  1. Wash and dry potato

  2. With a fork, poke holes all over the potato

  3. Cover the skin of the potato with oil, and sprinkle salt all over.

  4. Bake in center rack of 400F oven for at least an hour.

  5. After an hour, check if the potato is done by forcing the end towards each other. If it splits down the middle, great! Otherwise, stick it back in the oven and check back at 10 minute intervals

  6. Serve with sour cream, or cottage cheese
