Recipe Ingredients for Baked Pears

10 fl oz Apricot Nectar
0.33 cup, halves Apricots, Dried, Sulfured, Uncooked
0.13 cup Craisins, Sweetened Dried Cranberries
4 pear, medium (approx 2-1/2 per lb) Pears
6 tsp Sugars, Granulated
1/4 tsp Nutmeg, Ground
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
0.13 tsp, ground Cardamom

Recipe Directions for Baked Pears

  1. In a small saucepan combine apricot nectar, apricots, and cranberries. Bring to boiling. Remove from heat; let stand for 5 minutes. Drain fruit and reserve liquid.

  2. Core pears almost to the bottom. Place pears and pear tops in a baking dish. In a small bowl, combine fruit mixture, sugar and nutmeg. Spoon into centers of pears. In another small bowl combine reserved liquid, vanilla, and cardamom; pour over and around pears.

  3. Cover and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Uncover; bake for 25 minutes more until pears are tender, basting occasionally with cooking liquid.
