Leftovers (pasta and sauce with cheese bechemel)

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Pasta

1/2 lb cooked pasta
2 tbsp margarine
3 tbsp flour
1/2 oz green onion
2 cups milk, 2%
1/4 oz seasoned salt
7 oz reduced fat cheese
1/2 lb ground beef, 80/20
1 turkey italian sausage links
1 bell peppers, medium
1/2 cubanelle pepper, medium
1/2 onion, medium
2 garlic cloves
1/2 oz anchovies
2 oz mushrooms, canned
1 oz mushrooms, fresh
7 oz tomatoe sauce, canned
7 oz tomatoe, diced, canned
26 oz Hunt's spaghetti sauce
1/2 cups ketchup
1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
3 tbsp oregano, dried
1 tsp italian seasoning, dried
1 tsp basil, fresh

Recipe Directions for Baked Pasta

  1. melt margarine over medium heat

  2. add green onions and stir until taking color

  3. whisk in flour and cook for 3 minutes

  4. warm milk in microwave while flour cooks

  5. whisk milk into pan and continue to stir often

  6. when sauce gets stiff turn heat off

  7. add 4oz cheese to melt in sauce and seasoned salt

  8. pour half of white sauce over cold, cooked pasta, mix

  9. layer pasta sauce to cover bottom of casserole dish

  10. add half the pasta coated with cheese sauce

  11. repeat layers and top with 3oz cheese

  12. bake at 350F until bubbly and cheese browns lightly

  13. enjoy
