Baked pasta dish with tomatoes and mozzarella. optional bacon and basil

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Pasta

160 g spaghetti
150 g part skim mozzarella
800 g chopped tomatoes
1 red onion

Recipe Directions for Baked Pasta

  1. Cook pasta

  2. chop bacon if using and fry in saute pan

  3. chop onion and add to pan

  4. fry until lightly cooked

  5. add tinned chopped tomatoes

  6. season and add basil if wanted

  7. allow to reduce down over med. heat

  8. mix tomato mixture with drained pasta

  9. place into oven dish and cover with sliced mozzarella

  10. bake until fully cooked and cheese slightly brown
