a healthier alternative to fried onions rings. can be done either thick or thin sliced. Calories are for all ingredients in the recipe. Please note that due to the breading process you may not use all of the ingredients up and therefore they may in fact be lower in calories.

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Onion Rings

2 yellow onions
1/2 cup flour
1 egg
3 tbsp 2 % milk
1/2 cups Panko Breadcrumbs
1 salt and pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Baked Onion Rings

  1. Preheat Oven to 450

  2. Slice onions. We prefer thin sliced onions but you can cut them thicker if you'd like.

  3. Whisk flour, salt and pepper together.

  4. In a separate bowl whisk egg and milk together

  5. In yet another bowl put the bread crumbs.

  6. Bread in the following order flour, eggwash, panko

  7. Place on baking sheet. Bake until done. Time will vary based on thickness of cut. Turn them once during cooking. Thick ones tend to cook for a total time of 20minutes, thin ones less.
