good for dessert with ice cream or a light dinner with sausages and toast

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Oatmeal

3 cups oats
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg
1 cup skim milk
1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1/2 cup apple, grated
1/2 cup egg substitute, liquid
1 t. vanilla extract

add:
1/2 cup walnuts

Recipe Directions for Baked Oatmeal

  1. Combine all dry ingredients in medium bowl and mix well.

  2. Add wet ingredients andmix.

  3. Add walnuts

  4. Bake 350 degrees 20-30 minutes.

  5. Will be crusty on top, moist in center.

  6. May also add raisins, cranberries, chopped dates.

  7. Couls substitute toasted pecans or almonds
