An attempt to make baked oatmeal healthier

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Oatmeal

3 cups oatmeal
1 cup fat free milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup apple sauce
1 tbs butter
2 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract

Recipe Directions for Baked Oatmeal

  1. Mix eggs, sugar and vanilla together

  2. add in rest of ingredients

  3. fill 6 large muffins in large muffin tin

  4. bake at 350 for 35-45 min

  5. serve warm with some milk and nuts or rasins on top

  6. This can be made ahead of time and refrigerated. Just pop in the microwave to heat up.
