My mac n cheese. Unhealthy, delicious, and made by me!

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Mac N Cheese

8 oz elbow macaroni, dry
2 1/4 c 2% milk
3 T salted butter
3 T all purpose flour
8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 T paprika
1/2 t salt
1/2 t pepper
1/2 c croutons
2 T parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Baked Mac N Cheese

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Cook and drain pasta.

  3. Crush croutons and mix with parmesan cheese.

  4. In a seperate pan melt the butter and add flour. This will create a roux. Cook out the flour "taste" for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add milk gradually. Once all the milk is incorporated add the cheese. Stir until melted.

  5. In a 9 x 13 casserole dish add the pasta and cheese sauce and stir.

  6. Top with crushed crouton and parm mixture.

  7. Bake 20 minutes at 425 until bubbly.
