healthier version of an old favorite

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Mac and Cheese

3 T breadcrumbs
1 tsp olive oil
1/4 tsp paprika
10 oz frozen spinach
1 3/4 c milk
3 T flour
1 1/2 c shredded Cheddar cheese
1 c nonfat cottage cheese
10 oz whole wheat pasta

Recipe Directions for Baked Mac and Cheese

  1. heat milk and add flour

  2. stir in both cheeses after sauce thickens

  3. stir in nutmeg, salt and pepper

  4. cook pasta for four minutes

  5. drain and add cheese sauce

  6. put half in pan then drained spinach then other half

  7. mix bread crumbs, oil and paprika

  8. spread on top

  9. cook at 450 for 25-30 minutes
