A grown up version of mac and cheese.

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Ham and Cheese Pasta

9 ounces Ziti
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp garlic
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp mustard
2 cups cheddar cheese
4 ounces ham
1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Baked Ham and Cheese Pasta

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook and drain pasta.

  2. Melt butter in 3qt saucepan over low heat. Saute garlic in butter for 30 seconds, stirring frequently.

  3. Stir in flour and salt, increase heat to medium and stir constantly until mixture is smooth.

  4. Gradually stir in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil for one minute.

  5. Stir in mustard and cheddar cheese, stir until cheese is melted.

  6. Add pasta and ham into the cheese sauce, mix thoroughly.

  7. Pour into ungreased 2qt casserole dish. Spread parmesan cheese on top and bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes or until cheese bubbles.

  8. Refrigerate any leftovers. Serves 8.
