Recipe Ingredients for Baked "Fried" Okra

1 lb. okra, sliced
1/2 c. wheat germ
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
1/4 tsp. black pepper

Recipe Directions for Baked "Fried" Okra

Preheat oven to 350F. Combine all dry ingredients. Mix half of seasoning mix with okra in a lidded casserole dish. Sprinkle other half of mix on top. Cover and bake for 20 minutes. Stir and recover okra, baking for an additional 15 minutes. Remove from oven and take off lid. Stir again and let cool slightly before serving.
