Baked Doughnuts Recipe

Doughnuts made healthy - this is the same recipe as deep fried but baked instead. Comes from Company's Coming Cook Book (Muffins)

Recipe Ingredients for Baked doughnuts

1 1/2 tbsp Margarine, soft
125 ml Granulated sugar
1 large Egg, white
125 ml 1% Milk
2 1/2 ml Vanilla
500 ml All purpose flour
60 ml baking powder
2 1/2 ml Cinnamon
2 1/2 ml nutmeg

Recipe Directions for Baked doughnuts

  1. mix butter, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla

  2. add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg

  3. roll to 1/4 inch thick on floured surface, cut with doughnut cutter

  4. bake in 350 F (180 C) oven for 20 to 30 minutes ** I find they are cooked before 20 minutes so be careful with these recommended timings
