Recipe Ingredients for Baked Chili Pepper "Fries" with dipping sauce

2 jalapeno peppers
2 poblano peppers
2 serrano pepper
2 tbs whole wheat flour
2 Wheat Thins Crackers Garden Vegetable
2 tbs egg beaters
3 tbs nonfat yogurt
1 tablespoon Mustard
2 tbs water
2 tbs Panko
1 1/2 oz Parmigiano Reggiano
1 Salt and pepper
2 tbs nonfat yogurt
1 tbs lowfat sour cream
1 tbs ketchup
1 tsp garlic powder

Recipe Directions for Baked Chili Pepper "Fries" with dipping sauce

  1. Directions

  2. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

  3. Remove the seeds from all of the peppers and cut into 1/2-inch lengthwise strips.

  4. Set up a breading station: 1 pan of 1 cup of flour, 1 pan of eggs beaten with milk, 2 tablespoons of flour and mustard, and 1 pan of bread crumbs seasoned with cheese, and salt and pepper, to taste.

  5. Coat the peppers in the flour, then in the egg mixture and then in the bread crumbs.

  6. Arrange the chili fries on a nonstick baking sheet and roast for 18 minutes, turning once.

  7. Remove from the oven and transfer to a serving platter.
