These beans really have a kick! Great for puttin' in the oven and forgettin' about 'em.

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Beans Spicy

15 oz beans
6 oz tomato paste
1/2 cup Bull's Eye barbecue sauce
2 cups apple cider
1/2 cup brown sugar
6 slices reduced sodium bacon
1 tbsp black pepper
1/4 cup Frank's RedHot
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, finely chopped
1/4 cup lime juice
1 tsp crushed red pepper

Recipe Directions for Baked Beans Spicy

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.

  2. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, then pour into a 9x9" baking dish (preferably one with a lid).

  3. Cover dish with lid, another baking dish, or aluminum foil.

  4. Place in center of onion and bake for at least 2 hours.

  5. 30 minutes before you are ready to serve, remove cover and increase heat to 300 degrees.

  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
