This recipe makes teeny little servings on purpose. It's meant to be served with Club House Chili (http://caloriecount.about.com/club-house-chili-recipe-r170191). Each alone is a stand-alone recipe, but together - WOW.

Recipe Ingredients for Baked beans

3/4 cup dry navy beans
1/4 lb bacon
1/2 medium onion
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons molasses
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 cup water

Recipe Directions for Baked beans

  1. Soak beans overnight in about double the amount of water.

  2. In the morning, discard the water. Pour beans into small crockpot and cover with more water. (Note: use a small crockpot. This recipe will dry out in a large crockpot.)

  3. Cook on low for two hours.

  4. Dice bacon and stir into beans. Reserve a few pieces for the top.

  5. Add remaining ingredients and stir in.

  6. Top with remaining bacon.

  7. Cover with more water. (Note: the 1 cup water measurement is approximate. You may need to add more as it cooks.)

  8. Cook on low for six more hours. Add more water to keep beans moist.

  9. Serve with Club House Chili.
