Baked beans with Canadian Back Bacon instead of regular bacon - 70 less calories and 4 grams less fat per serving.

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Beans

2 cups white beans
5 cups water
1 medium onion
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cider vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp mustard
1/4 cup molasses
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 lb back bacon

Recipe Directions for Baked Beans

  1. Soak beans overnight in cold water. Rinse drain and pick out dark beans. Boil 30 minutes in 5 cups water.

  2. Drain.

  3. Place onion slices in casserole dish. Mix remaining ingredeints and pour over. Arrange back bacon on top.

  4. Cover with water.

  5. Bake 7 hours at 250 degrees, adding water periodically.
