Recipe Ingredients for baked banana walnut oatmeal

1/2 cup rolled oatmeal
2 tbsp walnuts, chopped
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
3 tbsp liquid egg whites
1 tbsp unsweetened apple sauce
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 ripe banana

Recipe Directions for baked banana walnut oatmeal

  1. Preheat over to 375 degrees. Spray a casserole dish and set aside.

  2. In a mixing bowl, mix together oats, walnuts, baking powder, ginger cinnamon. In another bowl, stir together milk, apple sauce, egg whites and vanilla.

  3. In the casserole, place banana slices in a single layer; Evenly cover the fruits with the oat mixture, then pour over the milk mixture.

  4. Bake 30-35 minutes, or until golden and mixture has set. Allow oatmeal to sit 5-10 minutes before serving.
