Great way to serve an apple with no extra calories. A nice change of pace for a snack, dessert or a side dish. Tasty served warm over waffles or french toast.

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Apples

1 Granny Smith Apple, dice w/skin on
1/4 cup Splenda No Calorie Sweetener
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1 pinch Nutmeg
1 tsp. Cornstarch
1/3 cup water

Recipe Directions for Baked Apples

Mix all ingredients together stir and place in 2 cup baking cups sprayed with butter flavored non-stick spray. Bake at 400 for about 35-40 mins. Until apples are tender. Stir about 1/2 way through. Cool on a rack or serve warm. You can use 2 tbsp. of sugarless maple syrup, squeezed over the top if you like but, this will add about 12 calories. Add 2 tbsp. fat free granola after you stir the apples during the baking for apple crisp. The granola will add more calories depending on the kind of granola you use.
