Great Baked Ziti recipe but I had to make some modifications in order to get the recipe analyzer to show nutritional info. The substitutions I chose are comparable in calories, fat, & fiber to the original recipe. Makes about 6 1 cup servings Here's the actual recipe: 8 oz Ziti pasta 3 c Mom's Red Pasta Sauce (recipe on this site), divided 15 oz part-skim Ricotta Cheese 8 oz Shredded mozzarella, divided 1 tsp dried basil 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp ground black pepper 1/8 c grated romano cheese

Recipe Ingredients for Baded Ziti (substitutions below)

8 oz Ziti pasta
1 1/2 c pasta sauce
15 oz Ricotta Cheese
8 oz Shredded mozzarella
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/8 c parmesean cheese
1 egg

Recipe Directions for Baded Ziti (substitutions below)

  1. preheat overn to 350 degrees

  2. cook pasta according to package directions

  3. while pasta cooks, mix ricotta, 1 1/2 cups mozzarella, spices, and egg together in bowl.

  4. stir ricotta mixture into cooked pasta, using 1/2 - 1 c of pasta sauce to ease stirring

  5. pour into 8x8 glass dish, topping w/ remaining mozzarella & parmesean cheese

  6. bake 30 minutes or until hot & bubbly

  7. serve w/ remaining 2 cups of pasta sauce on the side
