High energy breakfast that's good before an early AM workout. Can make it into 6 small servings or larger ones. Can also replace milk with hemp milk for more calcium.

1 cup steel cut oats
3 cups water
1 cup 1% milk
2 tbs almond butter
1/8 cup dried dates

  1. simmer oatmeal, water, milk, and a pinch of salt for 30 minutes

  2. stir in almond butter

  3. top with dates
