I've always heard that if you eat after 7 or 8, or eat late, it is really bad for you? Is that true?
The “Stop Eating at 7 pm” adage is upheld because most people have met their daily calorie requirements by 7 pm, and so additional eating, if habitual, would lead to weight gain. But as long as you are hungry, current scientific knowledge maintains that it doesn't matter when you eat, as long as you stay within your daily calorie requirements to maintain a healthy weight; however, recent studies on mice show that mice gain weight if they eat after the sun goes down. In coming years, the standard recommendations may change.
