Is it bad to eat the dark part of a portabella mushroom?

The entire portabella mushroom is edible including the dark brown part is called the 'spore print'.  All mushrooms are ultra low in calories but highly flavorful.  They are are a good source of many different nutrients, such as potassium, selenium, copper, riboflavin, niacin, and pantothenic acid, and they contain other disease-fighting phytochemicals.
