Warm, and hearty soup, hits the spot on a cold, rainy, day...

Recipe Ingredients for Bacon, Lentils, and Beer....OH MY!!

3 oz of bacon
1 onion, large
3 garlic cloves
2 cups celery, diced
2 cups carrots, diced
14 1/2 oz tomatoes, diced
36 fl oz light beer
4 cups beef stock, no salt added
4 cups beef broth, reduced sodium
3 cups lentils
3 tablespoons maple syrup
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
3/4 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon salt, kosher
1 teaspoon pepper

Recipe Directions for Bacon, Lentils, and Beer....OH MY!!

  1. Cook bacon per packaging directions.

  2. Add onion and garlic. Cook untill onion is transparent.

  3. Add rest of ingredients.

  4. Bring to a boil then simmer on med-high for 1 hour or untill veggies and lentils are cooked through.

  5. Makes 12 (1 cup) servings.
