Easy to make Spanish rice. They way grandma... I mean abuela used to make.

Recipe Ingredients for Baby's Spanish Rice

1 cup white rice
1/2 cup white onion
8 oz tomato sauce
1 1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Baby's Spanish Rice

  1. Chop onions.

  2. Heat pan on medium heat, add olive oil.

  3. Put onions in pan .

  4. Cook onions for about 2 minutes or until almost translucent.

  5. Add rice to pan with onion and stir together for about a minute.

  6. Carefully add tomato sauce (remember hot oil in pan).

  7. Mix rice and tomato sauce throughly.

  8. Slowly add water to pan, mix throughly.

  9. Cover pan with lid and reduce to low heat.

  10. Cook for 20 minutes.

  11. Do not stir rice or remove lid.

  12. Remove pan from heat and let sit for 25 minutes.

  13. Fluff rice with fork and serve.
