I was taught how to make this recipe by a wonderful Mexican woman.

Recipe Ingredients for Authentic Mexican Salsa

11 tomatoes
4 pepper jalapenos
1/2 white onion
1 cup cilantro

Recipe Directions for Authentic Mexican Salsa

  1. Take the tops off of the jalapenos and the greens off of the tomatoes.

  2. Score the bottom of the tomatoes in an X shape.

  3. Steam the tomatoes and jalapenoes until the skin of the tomatoes pull away with ease.

  4. Meanwhile, chop the onion and cilantro (i use a food processor for the cilantro)

  5. Once the tomatoes and jalapenos are done, blend.

  6. Mix with the onion and cilantro.

  7. I personally think this salsa is best when served hot, however, it is still delicious when it is cold.
