1 lb. English Walnuts 1 lb. dromedary pitted dates 1 cup unsifted flour 4 eggs 1 cup sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder

16 oz Dates
16 oz Walnuts, English
1 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
4 medium Egg, Whole
1 cup Sugars, Granulated
0.5 tsp Salt, Table
1 teaspoon Baking Powder

Recipe Directions for Aunt Jo's Date Nut Bread

  1. Mix dry ingredients well.

  2. Mix in walnuts and dates.

  3. Beat eggs well and add to mixture.

  4. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.

  5. Check for wetness. If wet, continue to bake for an additional 15 minutes.

  6. GREASE PAN WELL!
