Recipe Ingredients for Aunt Jane's Bean Salad

3/4 cup cider vinegar
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup olive oil
15 1/2 oz garbanzo beans
14 1/2 oz wax beans
14 1/2 oz green beans
15 1/2 oz dark red kidney beans
1 red onion
1 green pepper

Recipe Directions for Aunt Jane's Bean Salad

  1. Stir sugar into vinegar until it melts.

  2. Add oil.

  3. Bring to slow boil.

  4. Cool completely.

  5. Drain beans (use canned beans. Weights are approximated.)

  6. Chop pepper and onion finely.

  7. Combine and stir.

  8. Refrigerate overnight.

  9. Can add three sticks of celery and/or celery seed to taste.
