Recipe Ingredients for Au Gratin Potatoes

4 cups diced potatoes
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
2 cups nonfat milk
1/4 cup butter, melted
6 slices white bread, cubed

Recipe Directions for Au Gratin Potatoes

  1. Boil potatoes until tender, drain and set aside. Melt 1/4 cup butter in a medium saucepan, whisk in flour and heat until bubbly. Slowly pour in milk, whisking constantly. Heat over medium-high heat until thickened. Stir in cheeses. Fold in cooked potatoes and pour into greased 2 qt. casserole dish. Toss bread cubes with remaining melted butter, sprinkle across potatoes.

  2. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
