Recipe Ingredients for Athena's Chili

1 pound ground beef
1 large onion
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp oregano
16 oz tomatoes
15 1/2 oz red kidney beans

Recipe Directions for Athena's Chili

  1. Cook ground beef, onion (chopped), and garlic (chopped) in large saucepan or Dutch oven. Drain.

  2. Stir in remaining ingredients except beans. Heat to boiling; cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

  3. Stire in beans. Heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer uncovered about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until of desired thickness.
