Recipe Ingredients for asparagus and wild rice soup

1 cup wild rice
1 tbs butter
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbs olive oil
1 large onion (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 pound asparagus (split and cut into 1 inch slices)
1 cup sliced mushrooms
4 cups chicken broth
1 pinch black pepper
12 ounces skim milk
1/3 cup parsley
2 tbs cornstarch

Recipe Directions for asparagus and wild rice soup

cook rice for 55 minutes covered, heat oil in large saucepan on m,edium high, add onion, garlic, mushrooms and asparagus. Cook about 5 minutes. Add broth, prepper, rice and bring to a boil. Whisk together milk and corn starch in a small bowl, then add to mixture and cook 5 minutes or so until thickened. Then stir in the parsley.
