Recipe Ingredients for Asparagus quiche

3/4 cup flax meal
1/2 cup almond meal
1/4 cup liquid egg white
1 pinch of salt
2 links chicken apple sausage, diced
10 oz frozen asparagus spears, thawed and chopped
2 omega-3 eggs
3/4 cup egg whites
2 oz soy yogurt, plain
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 salt and pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Asparagus quiche

  1. Mix flaxseed, almond meal, and egg white thoroughly, then flatten into bottom of a pie pan coated with nonstick spray.

  2. Place sausage and asparagus into the pie pan. Mix eggs, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Pour into pie pan. Bake at 400 for 35-40 mins or until firm. Cool to room temperature and serve.
