Makes 2 servings

Asparagus, mushrooms, and onion sauteed in olive oil and butter. Could be 4 servings, but I use it as two generous servings.

Recipe Ingredients for Asparagus Mushroom Saute

5 oz Onion
1 1/2 tsp. Olive Oil
1 tsp. Salted Butter
25 oz Asparagus
12 oz Mushrooms, Brown, Italian, Or Crimini

Recipe Directions for Asparagus Mushroom Saute

  1. Clean asparagus ends, and chop spears into 3 or 4 equal sized pieces.

  2. Quarter mushrooms.

  3. Slice onion.

  4. Add butter and olive oil to a heated skillet (med to med-high). Add onion and cook several minutes (do not brown, just cook). Add the asparagus and cook 2 -3 minutes, then add the mushrooms.

  5. Season with plain salt or seasoning salt, and garlic granules.

  6. Continue cooking until vegetables are done to your taste.

  7. If, at any time, ingredients are sticking or browning, add water (about 2 Tablespoons at a time) to keep moist.
