Tasty side dish with an asian flair. Beautiful color! (original recipe calls for scallions- I didn't have any so I used regular onion.)

Recipe Ingredients for Asian Purple Cabbage Salad

1 head purple cabbage
1/2 cup rice vinegar
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup sesame oil
1/4 cup sliced onion
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/4 cup sliced almonds

Recipe Directions for Asian Purple Cabbage Salad

  1. Mix the dressing (vinegar, oil, sugar) separately. (You can make the dressing in advance)

  2. Shred cabbage. Slice onions (or scallions). Combine cabbage, onion & raisins in large bowl. Pour dressing mixture over cabbage mixture.

  3. Add almonds just prior to serving (they will get soggy if left in mix).
