Recipe Ingredients for Asian Beef Stir Fry (Eating for Life)

8 oz dry spaghetti
1 pound lean sirloin
1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
1 clove garlic
1 small onion
8 oz shredded lettuce
1/2 cup lite soy sauce

Recipe Directions for Asian Beef Stir Fry (Eating for Life)

  1. Use Top Sirloin (lean)

  2. mince garlic (calls for three cloves but reduced to one)

  3. 1. Prepare spaghetti according to package, set aside

  4. 2. Slice steak lengthwise into 2" strips. Cut crosswise to 1/8" thick slices

  5. 3. Lightly coat large skillet or wok w/ cooking spray

  6. Over medium heat, stir fry red pepper flakes & garlic for 1 minute

  7. 4. Add steak strips to the skillet, stir fry just until no longer pink, approx 2 min. Remove steak from skillet and set aside

  8. 5. Lightly recoat skillet with cooking spray. Stir fry onion until tender - approx 5 min. Add lettuce and cook until crisp-tender, approx 2 more min.

  9. 6. Return steak to skillet. Add cooked spaghetti and lite soy sauce; mix gently & heat thoroughly

  10. 7. Divide into portions, serve and enjoy.
