This is my new twist to an old favorite. Enjoy!

Recipe Ingredients for Ashlyn's Sloppy Joes

2 pounds extra lean ground beef
1 cup ketchup
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder
3 tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. vinegar
3 tbsp. flour

Recipe Directions for Ashlyn's Sloppy Joes

  1. Cook, drain and rinse ground beef, set aside.

  2. Mix remaining ingredients (except flour and buns) in a large pot. Heat on medium heat stirring constantly.

  3. Once heated through add ground beef and mix until evenly coated.

  4. Add flour one tablespoon at a time until thickened, if desired. I use 3 Tbsp.

  5. Spread mixture on whole wheat buns and serve. Enjoy!
