Recipe Ingredients for arabic (pita) bread

1 tablespoon yeast
2 1/2 cups warm water
1/4 teaspoon sugar
6 cups flour
2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Recipe Directions for arabic (pita) bread

dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup of warm water. Add the sugar; when it begins to froth, stir in the remaining water. Add 3 c. flour, 1 at at dime, gradually, stirring vigorously. Stir in the salt and 2 tablespoons of the oil and mix well. Ad the remaining flour, gradually intull dough holds together in a ball. kneed for 10 min. put the remaining tablespoon of oil in a bowl to coat. Place dough in bowl and then turn over so it is coated in the oil. let raise 2 hrs until double.
