Recipe Ingredients for Approximation of Sitti Rice pilaf

2 cups rice
1 cups orzo
2/3 stick of butter
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups boiling water
8 teaspoons almonds

Recipe Directions for Approximation of Sitti Rice pilaf

  1. Melt butter in large saucepan. Add orzo and stir until it turns golden brown.

  2. Add rinsed drained rice and stir and brown slightly.

  3. Add water and salt. Bring to a rolling boil and then cover and put on very low heat for about 15-20 minutes until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
