Recipe Ingredients for Applesauce

3 lbs apples
1/2 cup apple cider
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Recipe Directions for Applesauce

  1. Peel apples and cut into eighths (approximately 1-1 1/2 inch chunks)

  2. Place apples, cider and sugar in heavy bottomed saucepan

  3. Cook over low heat approximately 15 minutes, until apples are tender and cooked through.

  4. Store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to two weeks.
