Unsweetened applesauce, Splenda brown sugar substitute, whole-wheat flour.

Recipe Ingredients for Applesauce Raisin Bread - Modified

2 cups applesauce, unsweetened
2 eggs
1/4 cup canola oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups cereal, Raisin Bran
1 cup Splenda, brown sugar substitute
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
2 cups flour, whole wheat
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon, ground
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp nutmeg, ground
1/2 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Applesauce Raisin Bread - Modified

  1. 350 degree oven; grease 9x5x3 loaf pan.

  2. Combine applesauce, eggs, oil and vanilla, mix well.

  3. Stir in cereal, let stand 5 minutes.

  4. Stir in brown sugar and nuts, mix well.

  5. Combine remaining (dry) ingredients.

  6. Add cereal mixture all at once to flour mixture, stir just until moistened.

  7. Pour evenly into prepared loaf pan.

  8. Bake 65 - 75 minutes until tester inserted into center comes out clean. Let stand 15 minutes before removing from pan.

  9. Makes 1 loaf.
