Recipe Ingredients for Applesauce oat muffins

1/3 cup oats
2 T brown sugar
1 T butter, melted
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup oats
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup white whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup 2% milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
1 egg

Recipe Directions for Applesauce oat muffins

  1. combine first four ingredients for streusel; mix well and set aside.

  2. preheat oven to 400 degrees; line muffin tins with paper liner or spray bottoms.

  3. Combine oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon in a bowl. Combine remaining ingredients in another bowl then add the dry ingredients and stir just until moistened.

  4. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes.
