Recipe Ingredients for Applesauce Multigrain Muffins

1 cup dry oatmeal
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 egg
1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup skim milk
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/8 cup coconut oil
1/8 cup extra virgin olive oil

Recipe Directions for Applesauce Multigrain Muffins

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Farenheit.

  2. Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin.

  3. In a large bowl, mix all of the dry ingredient together. Stir well

  4. In a separate bowl, mix all of the wet ingredients together. Stir well.

  5. Incorporate wet ingredients into dry ingredients until batter is just moistened. Do not over-mix.

  6. Place muffins in the oven for 18 to 20 minutes. Serve warm.
