These easy to make cookies have a light applesauce and honey taste. Makes 4 dozen.

Recipe Ingredients for Applesauce-Honey Cookies

1 cup Apple Sauce Original Organics
310 grams All Purpose Flour
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
1/2 tsp Salt, Table
1/2 tsp Ginger, Ground
1 stick Butter
1/2 cup Sugars, Granulated
1/2 cup, packed Sugars, Brown
1 large Egg, Whole
1 tbsp Honey, Strained Or Extracted

Recipe Directions for Applesauce-Honey Cookies

  1. 10 Min pre, 1hour chilling, 14 min baking per batch

  2. Mix together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, and salt.

  3. Beat together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar at medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, applesauce, and honey. At low speed beat in flour mixture until well combined. Shape dough into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and let chill for 1 (one) Hour.

  4. Preheat oven to 375F. Grease 2 baking sheets.

  5. On a floured surface, using floured hands, roll dough into 1-inch balls. Place onto prepared baking sheets. Using a floured fork, firmly flatten each cookie, leaving deep grooves.

  6. Bake cookies until just set and golden, 14min. Let cookies cool completely.
