Recipe Ingredients for Applesauce Cheerio muffins

2 c. Honey Nut Cheerios cereal, crushed (about 1 c. crushed)
1 1/4 c. flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. applesauce
1/3 c. skim milk
3 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 egg white

Recipe Directions for Applesauce Cheerio muffins

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Grease bottom of muffin pan or use papers.

  3. Mix cereal, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda.

  4. Stir in remaining ingredients just until moistened.

  5. Bake until golden brown, 18 to 22 minutes.

  6. Makes 12 muffins.
