Recipe Ingredients for Applesauce Bread

2.66 oz Margarine, Regular, Hard
1.25 cup Applesauce
1 large Egg, Whole
1.5 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Unbleached
1 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
0.5 tsp Salt, Table
0.25 tsp Cloves, Ground
1 cup (not packed)(145 g) Raisins, Seedless
1 cup Sugars, Granulated
1 tsp Leavening Agents, Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 tsp Nutmeg, Ground

Recipe Directions for Applesauce Bread

  1. In mixing bowl cream butter & sugar

  2. Add egg & applesauce; mix well.

  3. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, nutmeg & cloves.

  4. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, just until combined.

  5. Fold in raisins.

  6. Pour into 8x4x2 loaf pan, bake at 350 for 60-65 minutes.

  7. Cool for 10 minutes in pan, remove to wire rack.
