6 apples
3 c. red wine, about half a bottle
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. clove
1/2 tsp. vanilla
306 g (1 c) Soy Dream Organic Non-Dairy Frozen Desserts French Vanilla

Recipe Directions for Apples in Red Wine

  1. Peel, core, and segment apples.

  2. In a saucepan, bring the wine, cloves, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla to a boil. Add apples, reduce heat, and simmer one hour.

  3. Remove apples and blend flour into sauce. Cook syrup until thickened. Pour over apples and serve over vanilla soy or rice cream.
