8 granny smith apples
1 pie crust
5 tbsp butter
1/8 cup sugar
1/8 cup cinnamon
2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp thyme
1 cup cheddar cheese

Recipe Directions for Apple and Thyme Pie with Cheddar Baked Crust

  1. Combine all ingredients in pan and sautee until warm and well mixed,

  2. Fill pie and cover

  3. Bake in 350 degree (F) oven for 45 min,

  4. remove foil and sprinkle with shredded extra sharp cheddar

  5. bake additional 30 until filling bubbles up
