Apples and chicken may seem like an unusual combination, but they are wonderful when grilled. The thyme marinade gives a boost of flavor and tenderizes the chicken nicely.

Recipe Ingredients for Apple Thyme Chicken

3 tablespoons apple juice
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 1/4 teaspoons cider vinegar
2 1/4 teaspoons canola oil
3/4 teaspoons dried thyme
4 chicken tenders
1 medium tart apples, peeled and quartered
1/2 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoons cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon dried thyme
6 tablespoons cup apple juice

Recipe Directions for Apple Thyme Chicken

  1. In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Pour half of the marinade into a large zip bag; add chicken. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for at least

  2. 2 hours. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade.

  4. Drain and discard marinade from chicken. Dip apples in reserved marinade; set aside. Combine honey with the remaining marinade.

  6. Using long-handled tongs, moisten a paper towel with cooking oil and lightly coat the grill rack. Grill chicken, covered, over medium heat for 4-6 minutes on each
