Scones have a great aroma and taste. Perfect for tea. Prep time 15 mins. Cook time 15 mins.

Recipe Ingredients for Apple Scones

2 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
1/4 cup Sugars, Granulated
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt, Table
1/4 cup Butter
1 medium (3") Apples
1/2 cup Lowfat Buttermilk

Recipe Directions for Apple Scones

  1. Measure flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt into large bowl.

  2. Cut in butter until crumbly.

  3. Add shredded apple and milk.

  4. Sitr to form a soft dough.

  5. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface.

  6. Knead gently 8-10 times.

  7. Pat into two 6-inch circles.

  8. Place on greased baking sheet. Brush tops with milk and sprinkle with sugar.

  9. Score each into 6 pie-shaped wedges.

  10. Bake at 425 degrees F for 15 mins. or until browned and risen.
